About the Followship

A spaceship a whole community is building together — one section, one follower, one day at a time.

What this is

The Followship Daily is a collaborative 3D spaceship that the community builds together. Every follower of @followshipdaily on Instagram gets a numbered section of the hull, with their handle bolted onto it. Section one is the cockpit, section two sits behind it, and the ship keeps growing backwards as new people come aboard. Fly around it and you can read every nameplate, see who is riding next to you and watch the hull get longer in real time. A new episode comes out every day, and what gets built next is decided by the questions, requests and words people leave in the comments.

Who it is for

It is for the followers of the Followship daily films, and for anyone who likes the idea of being on the crew of something. You do not need to know anything about 3D, spaceships or code: search your Instagram username, and if you are following us your section is either already on the ship or being bolted on right now. Followers who left keep their number, and they can always come back aboard.

Who builds it

The ship is made by the small team behind the Followship Daily episodes, together with the community watching them. Each day's episode and each day's followers turn into new geometry on the hull, new milestone structures further out in space, and new names on the plates. Nothing here is bought or sponsored — the ship is only as big as the people who follow along.

Right now 1,161 sections are bolted on, on day 3.
